Bringing More Customer Voices to the Table

Blog / Engagement Panel

The Engagement Panel met in August 2025 to discuss ways to involve more customers in shaping services and to plan the upcoming Virtual Kitchen Table event.

A key focus was creating an informal and welcoming space where customers can share their views, learn more about the Engagement Panel, and help influence future priorities. The event will provide opportunities to discuss topics including:

  • repairs and maintenance
  • communication and customer service
  • community issues
  • future engagement activities

Members also discussed how to encourage greater participation by promoting the event through a range of channels and making it as accessible as possible. The Panel agreed that hearing from a wider range of customers helps ensure services reflect the needs of the communities we serve.

The meeting also included an update on estate inspections. Members heard how inspections are being prioritised and explored ways for customers to get involved, helping to identify local issues and improve neighbourhoods.

Another discussion focused on strengthening communication between Panel members to support effective working and maintain a strong customer voice.

Looking ahead, the Virtual Kitchen Table event represents an exciting opportunity to connect with more customers, hear their experiences, and ensure their feedback continues to shape services at Brighter Places.

Thank you to everyone involved in the discussion and planning. We look forward to welcoming customers to the event and continuing to build a strong and active customer voice across Brighter Places.
