A customer promise to open new career opportunities is being brought to life with a recruitment campaign to find our first apprentice.

The search is on for a human resources (HR) apprentice to work in our small but busy human resources and organisational development (HR & OD) team.

Sheila Wilcox, head of HR & OD, commented: “We are so pleased to be offering our first apprenticeship role at Brighter Places. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring a talented person into the business and set them on the road towards their future career.

We’re keen to have someone in place before Christmas, so we’re urging anyone interested to apply as soon as possible or to share this vacancy with their friends and family.”

This apprenticeship role provides a real opportunity to get involved in many areas of our business. But essentially, you’ll ensure that all information, data, and records are maintained accurately and managed efficiently. You’ll also ensure that employment processes and procedures are applied and tracked.

You’ll need to be qualified to GCSE grade 4 or above, be a team player and be committed to working hard to deliver a high standard of work.

In return, we offer a competitive apprenticeship salary, a happy and welcoming environment with flexibility around where you work and further benefits. You’ll also gain high quality work experience to take into your next role.

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticehsips.gov.uk says – ‘an apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience, and get paid. You’re an employee with a contract of employment and holiday leave. By the end of an apprenticeship, you’ll have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career.’

There’s lots more general information on the government website about apprenticeships, including who can apply, becoming an apprentice, and the different levels of apprenticeship available.
