On 19 July, many COVID-19 restrictions will be lifted across England. This is in line with ‘Step 4’ of the Governments’ road map out of lockdown.

As always, we continue to follow Government guidance and to review how we provide our services to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of residents, colleagues, and contractors.

For many of our services we are pleased to tell you that it’s business as usual. For other services, there are minor changes and for some, we’ll continue with precautionary measures.

You can read the full details here.

Repairs

We continue to prioritise emergency and urgent repairs.

And we are asking residents to delay, where possible, reporting routine repairs (fencing, kitchen unit door, leaking guttering, etc).  This will allow us to focus on emergency and urgent repairs, and to work through repairs reported during lockdown.

How to report a Repair

For previous United Communities residents

If you need to report an emergency repair, please call 0117 942 4600. Press, option 1 and, then option 1 again.

If you need to contact us in the evening or at the weekend, please call our out of hours emergency number: 0800 054 2180. We will call you before attending your home to ‘make safe’ the repair.

Home Visits

Our housing officers will not be making routine home visits. However, if we need to visit you in your home, this will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

If you live in a flat, our housing officers will continue to make routine visits to carry out inspections to the internal and external communal areas only. Please do not approach our member of staff as it is very likely that this will not be your housing officer.  If you need to speak to your housing officer, please call 0117 942 4600.

We would also like to reassure you that when any member of our team visits you in your home, we will contact you first to make an appointment. We will also continue to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Keep up to date

We’ll be keeping our websiteTwitter and Facebook page updated with any further changes to our services, so please check them regularly.
