Free Bank Holiday activity – children’s natural mural project

School-age children (supervised up to 16 years) living in Lockleaze, Cheswick and Upper Horfield areas of Bristol are invited to join a FREE, fun Bank Holiday activity on Friday 3 June.
The Children’s Natural Mural project which takes place at The Hub, Gainsborough Square in Lockleaze, is a half-day workshop to create a nature-inspired mural for the entrance hallways at Fedden Buildings.
The workshop starts at 9.30 am and finishes at 1.00 pm. Children taking part will go on a short walk with their parent/career and local naturalist, Steve England to gather ideas from nearby Stoke Park Estate, an historic park and garden. They’ll then return to the Hub and be supported by artist, Sophie Higgins-Wheeler to create a mural using their own ideas and materials gathered during the nature walk.
A parent or career must supervise children at the workshop. Refreshments will be provided, but you may want to bring a snack.
