Our structure
Brighter Places was formed by the merger of United Communities and Solon South West Housing on 1 April 2021.
As Bristol-based ‘place-shapers’ with a heritage of providing local housing solutions, both housing associations were long-standing advocates for the communities within which they work.
Following merger, Brighter Places is the largest housing provider solely operating within Bristol and surrounding areas.
We are a key partner for the local communities, authorities and agencies. We work to create vibrant communities and deliver sustainable housing solutions in these communities.
We manage 3,300 homes and provide a range of support services for residents. An ambitious programme of development means that we are set to deliver 1,000 new homes by 2027.
