Low-cost summer fun for families

The long summer holidays are here. We know this time of year can be a real challenge, especially when you’re balancing work, childcare, and the cost of keeping everyone entertained.
To help, we’ve rounded up a list of free or low-cost family activities, in and around Bristol. From days out and local events to places where kids can eat free or cheaply. There’s also free bus travel for kids under 16 during the school holidays. There’s something for everyone to enjoy without stretching your budget.
Remember, while many of the activities are free, some kids’ clubs and venues may charge or require advance booking. Make sure you check all the details before you set off.
