Make way for nesting birds – why your hedges might not be trimmed

From March to September many birds will begin nesting in the UK.
It’s important not to disturb them – it is a criminal offense to damage, destroy or interfere with the nest of a wild bird under the 1981 Wildlife and Countryside Act. For this reason, our communal area cleaning and grounds maintenance contractor, aAFD, may not be able to trim hedges and bushes if they see signs of nesting birds. It’s best to keep the greenery so our feathered friends can stay safe.
If you see lots of growth in your shared green space, please keep this in mind – why not have a look outside and see which birds you can spot!
The team will continue to maintain the rest of the space and will ensure hedges and bushes are trimmed when possible.
