Data & Performance, Customer First action group and Summer Photo competition
Update from the engagement panel 12 September 2023
Next engagement panel meeting: Wednesday 11th October 2023 5 pm – 6.30 pm
Homes Service – Data& Performance
Ruth Berry the Data & Performance Manager joined the meeting to share what her team is doing and their current projects. This included collecting and accurately recording information about our homes via stock condition surveys such as bathroom, kitchen, electrics or any damp and mould issues.
The 2024/2025 programme is being devised, with the Planned Works and Major Projects Team working closely on this also. Capturing this information will help us to plan future programmes more accurately. These are long-term programmes over 5 – 30 years.
We were also told how the Data and Performance Department has been focusing on their IT systems to ensure they have all information regarding Inspection to better manage Health and Safety in our homes, focussing at this time on Asbestos.
Customer First Action Group
Mike Rippon our Customer Experience and Insight Manager also joined us to let us know they have been looking at the data, to feedback and to determine what Customer Care standards have not been honoured. The sessions were held with the Customer Services directorate and then the whole organisation.
Mike further presented a new work initiative by the Regulator of Social Housing who would like to hear what tenants think about changes to its regulatory consumer standards. These are rules about homes and services tenants can expect from landlords when they live in social housing.
They set out specific expectations and results that all landlords will be expected to achieve.
It includes four key areas:
– The Safety and Quality Standard
– The Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard
– The Neighbourhood and Community Standard
– The Tenancy Standard
The regulator has produced a document for residents explaining their ideas. The closing date to give your views is 17 October 2023.

Residents Summer Photo Competition
We were honoured to be able to look at the wonderful photos sent in for the Residents’ Summer Photo Competition. It was tough, but after lots of thought and consideration, the panel selected the winners.
Take a look at all the photos and our winners here.
