This proposed scheme in Eastville will deliver 13 affordable flats in place of a run-down commercial building. There will be 4 parking spaces with electric charging points. Cycle storage has been incorporated to the rear of the building. This will provide storage for 25 bicycles.

Practical completion Projected September 2024
The scheme is comprised of 1 and 2 bed flats to meet demand for smaller house and apartment types. This will begin to diversify the existing housing stock which is typified by 3 bed and 4 bed housing.
The proposals follow previous unsuccessful attempts to sell the property as a commercial premises because of unsuitable location, configuration and condition. Brighter Places will be transforming a disused site into a 100% affordable housing scheme to avoid potential extended vacant status and create a positive contribution to the neighbourhood.
Homes available for rent will be let through Bristol City Council’s choice-based letting scheme, HomeChoice.
