The Regulator of Social Housing wants to hear what you think about changes to its regulatory consumer standards.

These consumer standards are:

  • Rules about homes and services tenants can expect from landlords when they live in social housing.

There are four draft consumer standards. They set out the specific expectations and results that all landlords will be expected to achieve.

  • The Safety and Quality Standard
  • The Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard
  • The Neighbourhood and Community Standard
  • The Tenancy Standard.

The regulator has produced a document for residents explaining their ideas and asking what you think.  It’s a shorter version of a bigger document called Consumer Standards Consultation: Reshaping Consumer Regulation.

The closing date to give your views is 17 October 2023.

Go to the document now and find out how to have your say.
